We have compiled FAQs covering some common issues you may encounter, and we hope they will be helpful.
MOQ varies by model and production mode. OEM (fully custom design) orders often require 500–1000+ units, while ODM (pre-designed models) can start as low as 50–500 units. Lead times depend on complexity and quantity – a custom e-bike project typically takes a few weeks (e.g. ~1–7 weeks) to complete. Contact the manufacturer for exact MOQ and timing on your chosen model.
Yes. Most OEM/ODM manufacturers allow extensive customization. You can tailor frame style, color, decals, and even electrical specs. For example, suppliers often adjust motor power or install speed limiters to meet local regulations. OEM orders are built to your own designs; ODM orders let you modify an existing model (adding your logo or selecting battery options).
Our e-bikes meet global safety and environmental standards. They carry CE certification (EU product safety) and RoHS compliance for electronics. We also comply with battery transport and safety standards: all packs pass UN 38.3 testing, and the electrical system is UL 2849 certified (covering battery, charger, motor). These certifications are often required for Europe (CE), North America (UL), and international shipping (UN 38.3).
E-bike batteries are Class 9 hazardous goods. We pack each battery in UN-certified boxes, insulate and tape the terminals, and ship them at roughly 30% state-of-charge. All packages are clearly labeled (UN3480/UN3481 marks, Class 9 lithium label) and handled via approved freight (IATA air or IMDG sea). This ensures full compliance with lithium battery shipping regulations.
We ship under standard Incoterms such as FOB, CIF, or DDP, as agreed with the buyer. Key export documents include a Commercial Invoice, Packing List, and Bill of Lading (for sea) or Air Waybill (for air). We also provide a Certificate of Origin, which certifies manufacturing origin (often needed to claim tariff preferences). Accurate documentation smooths customs clearance and reduces import duties.
We offer industry-standard limited warranties on our OEM/ODM e-bikes. For example, a common warranty is 5 years on the frame and 2 years on the motor and battery. This covers manufacturing defects under normal use. Note that normal wear (e.g. up to ~20% battery capacity loss over time) is not covered as a defect. We stock spare parts (batteries, motors, wheels, etc.) and provide manuals/support to ensure prompt repairs and maintenance.
Under normal usage, lithium e-bike batteries generally last about 500–1000 full charge cycles (roughly 3–5 years) before capacity falls to ~70–80%. We define “end of life” around 70% of original capacity. Proper care (avoiding full 0–100% cycles and extreme temperatures) can extend battery life. Once capacity fades significantly (e.g. range drops to ~70–80% of new), replacement is advised.
Key specs include motor type and power (hub vs mid-drive, continuous power in watts) and battery details (voltage, Ah, chemistry, cell brand). Ensure the battery management system (BMS) supports cell balancing and protection features. Also check ingress protection (e.g. most e-bikes use IP54 or higher for water/dust resistance) and brake type, frame material, etc. Verify that specs match your target market (e.g. motor ≤250 W for EU, or up to 750 W Class 2 in the US).
Markets vary. For example, EU pedelecs require ≤250 W motors and ≤25 km/h assist, whereas many US Class 2 e-bikes allow up to 750 W (≈32 km/h). We can configure motors, throttles, and speed limiters to match your country’s laws. Always check your local e-bike class or vehicle regulations (power, speed, brake cutoffs, lights, etc.) when importing.
Yes. We maintain an inventory of spare parts (batteries, tires, brake pads, controllers, etc.) for all models. We provide technical support and documentation to handle maintenance. In practice, most wear items (chains, tires, batteries) are either standard parts or stocked by the OEM, ensuring you can get replacements quickly. Extended support agreements or dealer training can also be arranged.
